When I say Ohiopyle Coffee Roasters started small, I mean really small! For many years, I had the privilege of caring for my grandfather in our beloved little town. During that time, we embarked on an unexpected adventure: roasting coffee in our very own kitchen.

Our days were filled with joy – exploring the country, visiting his grandchildren, searching for the perfect old fashioned, and, of course, experimenting with roasting coffee. Our first "roaster"? An air popcorn popper! We'd roast a mere two ounces at a time, carefully coaxing the flavors from each bean.

Those moments spent together, experimenting and sharing our roasts with his discerning doctor friends who became our first taste testers, are some of my most cherished memories. It was a time of laughter, learning, and the blossoming of a passion.

Now, ten years later, I look at Ohiopyle Coffee Roasters, and I'm filled with gratitude. From that humble popcorn popper to where we are today, it's been an incredible journey. Every bean we roast is a testament to those early days, the love that fueled our beginnings, and the unwavering belief in the power of a truly great cup of coffee.
